Spring is coming!

When you see the early flowers begin to bloom, hear the birds singing, the sun beginning to shine and start to get beautiful blue skies after winter (as opposed to grey skies) then you know spring in on it's way.

Last weekend Dave and I walked home from town and took our usual short cut through the lovely Abbey gardens.

I'm really glad we did. Look what we found dotted here and there under the trees and shrubs - really delicate little snowdrops - how pretty.

Dave had brought some bread so he decided to feed the squirrels. They're used to people so they're usually quite happy to take food from your hands if you're patient enough to wait.
This little guy took the bread and then scampered up into the tree to eat it.
How cute is he. Dave eventually managed to get him to come back down again for even more bread.
There's so much to enjoy as spring heads our way and so much to be thankful for too - not least of all the promise of warmer weather!
