Ears Pierced - Ouch!

Maddy has been hankering after earrings for the past year now and since her mummy was 4 years old when we had her ears pierced, we thought it was a good time to get Maddy's ears pierced too.

Everything started out just fine and of course Grandma was there with her camera to record it all - of course! Wouldn't miss a photo opportunity or a memory.

Unlike when her mummmy had her ears pierced Maddy only had to go throught the whole thing once. We made sure we had two assistants to do the job in one. Boy I had a hard time getting her mummy back in the chair to have the other ear done so I wasn't taking any chances with Maddy.

While she did cry - it was somewhat delayed. I'm not sure if it took a few seconds for what had happened to sink in or if it was mummy rushing to her that made her cry.

These girls were pros though and had stickers and lollipops at the ready plus plenty of encouraging words for just how brave she had been.

This shot was taken just minutes after the deed was done. See she's just fine. She may have really red ears but she has the cutest pink crystal & gold studs.
