Spring Pages

Just wanted to quickly post a couple of scrapbooking pages. Seems like I haven't done scrapbooking in ages (probably not true but feels like it) so it's nice to get back to a bit of it.

These two pages use the same layout (page map) but look completely different.

This forst one uses Doodlebug papers and stickers. I bought them about 2 years ago and never used them so I thought it was about time I did. Basically I used 3 wide strips of paper, rounded the corners of the top and bottom one, added the photo and then had fun adding other elements such as the scalloped strip, title and circle stickers, gems, white glaze pen detailing and photo anchors.

The photo is a different one but the page layout is the same. I used the same 3 strips, scalloped strip and photo anchors but this time I added small 'prima' style flowers with gems, white glaze stitching details, and a lovely swirl with flowers using a Sizzix die. I also created the 'spring' title myself using Sizzix dies.

My favourite is the last one because the colours match the sweet little flowers on Maddy's blouse and the green of her corduroy skirt perfectly. I may put the first one into a 12 x 12 frame for Maddy's bedroom since it's bright and fun.

It's surprising what you can do with a layout simply by changing the papers, colour scheme and choosing different embellishments.
