Apologies that this post has to be super quick but we have to get packed for a week at Soul Survivor Christian Youth Camp - a week with a bunch of teens - YAY ! Not quite sure how I got roped into this one - especially as I said I wasn't going this year! AND it has been raining ALL day long so the chances of getting dry ground don't look hopeful. Maybe it's not raining down there.
Anyhow here is my Project Tuesday sample this week. It's a super easy treat box (I know I say that every week - maybe I should stop?). What I love about these is that they take a single sheet of 12 x 12 (except for decoration), make up from flat AND can be made ahead of time, kept flat and then just assembled and filled when you need them. That makes this a great 'make ahead' Christmas project. Okay, okay I know it's still only August but I've been seeing a few Crimbo crafts out there in blogland already.
These work for whatever theme you want and can be filled with just about anything you want too - see makes em' perfect for gift giving!
This one was made with Christmas in mind - like I said I'm seeing Christmas out there already.
I used a pretty cream, gold and silver Christmas bauble design paper (sorry - can't remember who it's by?) and filled it with yummy treats. I will probably wrap the whole thing up in cellophane tied with a pretty ribbon and a further tag when I give it - just to make it look nicer and to keep everything inside and intact.
Hop on over to Project Tuesday and check out the link for a step by step tutorial so you can make one of your own. Oh and while you're there check out Mrs B's (Cindy) version with the jars - super, super cute idea. I'm casing that one for sure!
Now wish me luck at camp! See you in a week's time. Oh and the store will be back open for business after I'm back some time mid-week next week. See you then (assuming I survive that is).

Hey there! Sounds like you've been busy! I just realized I have to reply to your email. I haven't forgot about you! Love your PT project, I completely forgot with being on holidays last week and stressing about a daycare interview this morning! This is really cute though!
Suezie, this turned out great and so smart to think of Christmas already.
Have fun a camp this week.
