Between being poorly and trying to get my college course completed (I passed - wha-hoo!) I haven't had time to do much of anything let alone craft. Actually even now I know I have overdone things today because my tremor is just going NUTS! Some days (and nights) it drives me CRAZY - aarrrgghhh!
Anyhow enough 'venting' - back to the crafting. Here it is.
It's only my first attempt so I think if I made it again I'd go for some really nice designer paper. It's kind of an envelope card because the top flap tucks in behind the front square thats created with some clever folding. The ribbon wraps around and ties the whole thing closed.
I used the 'little cupcake' rub on from Upsy Daisy and started with a pink stripe paper. I should've known it was going to end up pink and green - no surprise there.
It's made all-in-one from a single sheet of paper so there's very little cardstock to be seen. Both flaps reveal a bit of embellishing and when opened it reveals a little bit more inside.
This was just the first one of the Upsy Daisy round rub ons that I will be demonstrating with next Saturday. I used the tiny cupcake in the centre of the rub on seperately as an added touch to decorate the inside panel. Usually when I create it takes a couple of attempts to get into full swing so I was really pleased that this turned out ok first time. I know I have to get in the right frame of mind to create and design but I hate when I waste good materials trying to get there.
I am inspired to use one of the 'boy' rub ons and do something with bright colours, stars and stripes. Good job I am off work again tomorrow because I am beginning to feel creative juices flowing.
My craft room stills needs some attention, especially after today but at least I can see floor and even a portion of desk space too! Will post the next version tomorrow.
