Thank goodness she had to leave to collect the boys from school or she might still have been crafting now!
I wanted to make something for the girls I am meeting up with tonight. We are having our first official 'Crafty Women' meeting to set our our plans for the new year - dates, projects and possible day trips - sounds good to me.

Mom brought these jumbo paperclips over for me so I could do a project with the girls and I have been dying to play with one. I created a logo for our group last year which featured daisies so I thought it would be nice if we all had one to 'mark our diaries' with.
I can't wait to post my first tutorial and I think I may show how to create these little daisies. They make cute little embellishments and I've taught them 10 times over in different projects.
I made this pink one first and just chose papers by Making Memories that were designed to go together to make the project easier. Sometimes I can spend as much time as the next person sorting through my paper collection looking for just the right ones for my project so I LOVE buying paper in sets, colours and themes.
I also crafted this triangle card which I think I may send to my SIL Debbie as I put a photo of Madyson inside (her god daughter). I will post it when I have finished with it because I need it as a sample for now but she will get it eventually.

I've seen several of these triangle cards and I've been wanting to try one for awhile now. I found a tutorial by 'Beate Johns' on split coast stampers which is a pretty cool site - check it out here http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/
I used her basic template and decorated to suit my photo. If you make one why not add it to the gallery as she suggests. I just might add mine there as well.
This is the card open
You can see how it opens and what it looks like inside. Maddy had a ladybug theme for her 2nd b'day this year so I used my ladbug stamps from papertrey. Stamping onto an overall patterned background (yellow check) is kinda neat too. I added a tiny flower paperclip to clip it open so Debbie can stand it on a desk or clip a note to it.It might take me a while to get this to ya Deb but I will - I won't take any longer than you would if you were sending it to me promise! (little chuckles - inside joke) NO, I'll send it a bit quicker than that .

Suezie: Okay I have checked out your Blog. I'm impressed. Guess I should say I'm proud of the work you do. Does that sound like a doting Mom-in=law?
It does! I consider myself very blessed to have a 'mom' like you who has loved me and taught me so very much over the years - saying 'thanks' just doesn't seem enough - Love you too mom OXOXOXO
