If I was doing a craft fayre or fete these bright colours would certainly attract people to my stall huh? Speaking of which - these 'bitty bunting' stamps make me think of fetes, the circus, rodeos, bake sales and summer as well as family celebrations and birthdays so why not do bright and colourful? I would hope Claire might have in mind to do another alphabet set at some point - if she does then the 'BIG DAY' font would be one of my choices. Think of all the fab words you could use it for - 'BIG TOP' comes immediately to mind. This page would look cute in a circus themed child's room too.
Since yesterdays page was a bit girly I decided this one would be more suited to a boy but as I say I quickly ditched the more muted colours I had originally started with in favour of these cute Bo Bunny birthday papers. I ran short for one more design so I stamped 'hip, hip, hooray' onto yellow and trimmed it square to make up the difference. I love how you can do that with stamps.
One of the other things I am lovin right now is that I can make all my matching page elements AND page titles - simply because I can stamp and add whatever I need - on whatever colour or paper I want - in whatever shape or design I choose. Not only did I stamp the text here but I added the swirls above and below the text - Claire fills her sets up with lots of little stamps like this - and then I used a frame stamp to build and layer it all up. This one's going into my WM gallery along with the rest - I'm getting quite a collection now.
I took most of the day on this one but only because I watched yet another period drama in between so I could rest up. I think I might have to go borrow my mother's Catherine Cookson DVD's next - I have almost run out of all my favourite movies. Oh and I just remembered someone who has Anne of Green Gables - that's always good for a restful afternoon too - have to see if I can borrow it. I need to find someone who has Polly-Anna (love that movie) cos I'd quite enjoy watching that too. Besides period dramas and romantic comedies I also like a good musical or even a Disney family movie.
Well hubby is due home any minute and like most guys he dominates the telly when he's home but I'm glad of his company for a change since he's home tonight - yay!
Hope you like! Hugs
Suezie
